4kq Tranny capacity??? (Reply soon)

OK, I'm confused.
	Bently says later 4kq only takes 2.2l of fluid while older ones
take 3.2l.  BUt I put about 2.4l in my 85's tranny (New Style) and I cant
feel the fluid in fill hole with my finger.  It should be right under hole
by now, Right???   Looking for some BTDT or similar as to what mine is.  I
dont want to under fill it if it needs 3.2 but dont want to over fill if
2.2.  BTW, seemed like 3+ was in there when I drained so PO must of filled
to hole.
