I don't have any experience with the BFG's except for the HR4's, but I have
some SP4000's on my Rabbit, and my impression is that they are good in the dry,
but not a dedicated performance tire (the D40M2 has a little more grip). They
communicate well, perform excellently in the wet, and never surprise me. They
also wear well. I have yet to see how they do in the snow, but I would expect
that they do well for a performance tire.
