Especially the ur-quattro cabriolet.  Best viewed on an empty stomach.

Until the really team was disqualified for using an illegal ram air
device.  I believe they had a Sport with sprung panels inboard of the
headlights.  At rest - closed.  At stage speeds, forced open by the
airflow.  Smack on wrist.  Go home.

You're right about getting bits for the damn things.  A Treser body kit
doesn't affect an ur-quattro's value very much, but a Stage I engine
modification takes GBP1000 off.  A Stage II is pretty well unsaleable.
