If you use the OE lights for the 80 (single-bulb H4, small parking light in
reflector) the installation is almost drop-in. The only issues you'll have
to resolve are the wiring of the H4 (diagrams posted to the list by Phil
Payne a little while back) and how to wire the parking light bulb. This is
supposed to come on with the first position of the headlight switch, so it
can be wired in parallel with the marker lights.
To slightly complicate matters, I strongly suggest you wire the setup to
include a relay and heavier-gauge wiring. Audi uses underspecced wiring,
not unleashing the full potential of these lights. This mod will also
prolong the life of your headlight switch. There are several listers who've
documented this setup on their web pages.
Gain? You'll notice when you switch your lights on now... there'll be
enough light for proper night driving. Trust me, it'll be more than worth
the money.

Tom
