Oil Leak in footwell, UPDATE

Thanks to everyone that gave help with regards to my problem.  I had one of
two camps: those that thought it was the brake fluid and those that thought
it was the steering rack.  

Regrettably, it has turned out to be a steering pump.  I should have
mentioned that I was also getting a very loud moan from the steering
column, but being not very mechanically familar with Audi's, I didn't put
the two together.  Which is starting to make sense since the last one got
replaced about 4.5 years ago.  I guess they only last so long.  It seems
that all the problems I've had with the 20V happens when the outside
temperature drops to some insane level (like -32C this past weekend).

Sigh... after checking out a few prices for a rebuilt, I've just decided to
go with a new one.  The main problem is the current U.S. exchange rate to
Canadian bucks.  A recent trip down to Comdex in Las Vegas reveals a rather
frightening 1.59 exchange rate.  Ugh...

Plus shipping and other misc charges and I'm only $100 bucks shy of the new
price.
