this thread was big for awhile on the eurovan/vanagon lists.  it seems
that vw was,  and still is,  shipping a relay that is listed as the
superceding part number for the programmable relay that is not
programmable.  the relays look the same but are not.  the later relay
will not work as programmable.  it has nothing to do w/ the audi
wiring.  the best bet is to get one out of an older car at a boneyard
