Cast.

I've never heard of one cracking.  They warp like wet cardboard, but
they don't crack.  Warping pulls the studs out of the block - both the
manifold and block are damaged.  Cracking only affects the manifold.

Out of the ten - usually five are still tight, two will have been pulled
out of the threads and three will have broken.

Screwed.  Repairs involve Helicoils.
