This is referring to R&R clutch on a Saab Sonnet - I had a 1970 V-4, and
did the clutch twice - second time I cut the top crossmember behing the
radiator and made a bolt-in section from aluminum channel "for next time" -
ex wife got the car in a divorce, sold it a week later to someone who
promtly wrecked it, and there was no "next time".
Really, that's the ONLY way to do it and keep your sanity! The Saab V-4 is
a Taunus (or some other German Ford) and is approximately a two foot cube
of solid cast iron which you must wiggle out of and back into a hole
2.00000001 feet across - heavy, greasy, sharp edges, nothing to grab -
nasty job! The hacksaw method made it SO much easier.
Strange little car - don't miss it much.
