Re: some issues with my UrQ--MC engine (long)

Orin Eman decided to speak these words:

>Now, grounding the yellow wire will simulate putting the fuse

>the bulb while it is grounded.)

I will give this a shot, but i think that they already did this in
another form. I think that they ran that wire to a connector where you
can plug in the light i described. If i were to make the tester, i
wouldnt need the instrument light...But i will ask the bennetts tomorrow
and see if they can give me an idea.

Yeah, i took a look, one of the covers is loose, but it isnt the source
of the noise. I pushed it back and out of the way, but that did nothing
for the noise. It sounds most focused at the cam gear. Almost internal,
on the cam.

I checked all the injectors, they are in there very solidly, so i doubt
that is the problem. Plus i dont smell any gas there....

I lean toward the idle stabilizer due to the other problem with the idle.
If it wre just a simple vacuum leak, it would be a self sealing one as
the car warmed up slightly.

Yeah, funny though, the wastegate noise started way before i got the
turbo so hot. But i got down in front of the engine while it was running
and there is a definite puff of air coming out of there, so the manifold
is leaking already...grrrr...and i have been really careful about cooling
it down correctly...jeez...less than 1k miles and i warp the manifold...

im gonna post this to the main list just to help out a bit...

thanks for the input though, it gave me some stuff to check out

later...
