Oh boy, I remember that one. I had a VW squareback parked in Watsonville
during the quake. One of the front tires ended up on top of a 1 gallon
paint can. The car hopped that high with stiff KYB Gas struts! Didn't
crush the can either. It was really weird. Also, it was a 7.2 quake.
Some of the after shocks were 6's though.
