88 80 q Suspension Noise

I have an 88 80 q with 106,000 miles. The previos owner said that he had never
replaced wheel bearings, ball joints, or struts. I got the car with 102,000
miles.

This week, that it has gotten really cold here in New York, I have been
feeling a reverberation through the steering wheel after hitting bumps. The
faster I am going when I hit the bumps, the longer the reverberation. How can
I start to pin point this problem ?

I took it to a chain tire store to have the tires rotated and had them check
the basics, but they didn't find anything. ( For all of your do it
yourselfers, it's worth the $6 they charge for the rotation in 10 degree
weather !)
