New Jetta

Sorry, I just have to disagree....

I ABSOLUTELY HATE the new Jetta!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine is just out of school and looking for a new car.  I
reccomended the VW Jetta as I love the old one and didn't know the new one
was out yet.  At the VW dealership we were told that there were no new JW
Jetta (III?)'s on the lot, but the '99 Jettas were out.  I saw them and I
think they are HIDEOUS!!!!!!  

I REALLY LIKE the old Jetta III.  In fact, I almost bought one, and thinking
now I should have!!!!!  

I really liked the sports models they had like the Jetta Trek (which I came
this >< close to buying), the K2, GT, and the Wolfsburg edition (sharp!).
Some of the later ones even had the VR6 motor.  

Anyways, I just had to bitch about how much I absolutely hate the new ones.
Really ugly and look small.  Wierd looking, ugly wheels, and come in some
downright awful colors.  BTW, the Jetta III has to be the most popular car
here in Madison.  They are everywhere and were still selling well.  Why
would VW change such a loved and great selling car?!  Heck, I wanted to buy
one!

BTW, on another note....I drove just the V8 automatic and was impressed with
the acceleration.  It rode heavy, but was supprisingly responsive!

Also, Steve....glad to hear you buckle your child in the _CENTER_ of the
back seat!  Some people still just don't know.
