Gross, the small bulbs in the headlight are in Europe the "indicator lights"
or what we also call the "parking lights". The are corresponding to the
large amber "indicator lights/side marker" lights that we have on 5Ks and
100/200 here in the USA. In Europe, the turn signals are located where we
here (US) have the "indicator lights/side marker". In my opinion, the large
amber lights make much better turn signals.
Also, many countries in Europe do not allow any "amber" lights up front -
except turn signals. Amber can only be used as turn signals or "true" side
markers and/or turn signals that are actually located along the side of the
car (in the US they are red, at least side indicator lights on the rear
fenders).
