i see no danger in using the chain-reinforced bumpers as replacements.
the middle bar on the center hangers is used in positions where a bumper is
necessary to stop upward motion.
the purpose of the rear pair of loops is to center the exhaust tip in the
opening as well as suspend the rear end.
there should be a separate "up" bumper for the rear section, mounted on the
rear subframe or floorpan.
