Re: More Idling Weirdness
Hi, everyone and thanks again for the numerous responses. It helped
cleaning the ISV on the '88 90 Q - now the car is idling fine when warm.
When cold, however, the RPM fall to about 500; it doesn't misfire, just
barely keeps on running and needs some throttle to keep going. Wander what
may be the cause of this. Someone suggested a sensor (coolant or such)
sending faulty information to the ECU... I would appreciate some input.
Another thing: haven't seen a check engine light anywhere to come on (maybe
it's a good thing after all), even when I turn the ignition switch on. The
last digits of the VIN are 299020 - it's supposed to be later 1988 model.
Did some 1988 90 Q come without a check engine light? Thanks, Tihol
