]no switched power lead. If you need a switch you can use the wire to your

]buzzer.
typical vw-audi behavior for the time. radio works
without ignition. many cars (mine included) had a
relay installed that powered up with the ignition.
don't numnke the constant-power lead, though, which
is needed to maintain clock and preset states on
most modern stereos.

] 2-3VDC). What is that one for?

]2A. I think that is for your background lighting not sure check with some
]others on that one. It could also be pwr. att.
i have heard that this is for background lighting, too.
could be blue with a stripe if i remember correctly.
this should also split to light up the diff lock panel
and ashtray.

]3A. To contradict what I just said this wire should be white. If you want to
]make things easier on your self you can buy a kit to convert you old stock
]wiring to the new Blaupunkt 8-8-10 ISO block connectors then you have no
]guessing to do. This is available from dealer and to go to a real Blau deck
]you have to change the power block a little bit E-mail me for details.
my antenna wire is red with an orange stripe, something
like that. i poster last week about getting my (non-stock)
amplified antenna to work, which it does, though it simply
will not pull in any am stations at all. all am does is
an audio representation of my tachometer. could need a
filter on the power, i guess, but i don't know where to
get such a thing.
anyway, i *did* note a white wire wire under my steering
column, with a plug on the end. with nothing plugged into
it, of course. there is no white wire anywhere near the
antenna, btw.
