4kq heater blower and winshield washer woes

Based soley on this week's experience one might conclude that the
electronics in my '86 4kcsq were designed by a certain Mr. Lucas in
England...

My problems/questions:

1) The heater blower is not functioning properly. It sounds as though the
squirrel cage is rubbing on the shroud and will not run on the first two fan
positions. I removed the blower and was unable to find anything obvious. I
squirted some WD-40 on the armature and it seemed to improve somewhat but it
still squeals and seems fairly difficult to rotate manually. Is there any
repair I can afffect and if not, does anyone have an idea what a new one
might cost?

2) The winshield washer system has also decided not to participate. The
first symptom was that it would only spray the driver's side but now I get
no fluid at all. (Yes, the resevoir is full ;-)When I accuate the washer I
don't hear the pump running. Are there any other components in this system
other than the resevoir, pump, and tubing? If it's the pump, does anyone
have a part number?
