What are Symptoms of Bad Clutch Slave?
I put a brand new clutch/TO bearing in my 4kq about a month ago but I was
to cheap to replace the slave cyl. (However I did coat it with Anti-sieze
to make it easier to get out later). Anyhow, now after the clutch
replacement and a change to Red-Line MTL I have noticed only one problem.
Sometimes, especially in 1st gear and reverse, the clutch wont quite fully
disengage which makes it hard to put in gear but also when in gear on
level ground it will creep forward. Once warmed up this problem seems to
go away though.
My thoughts on this:
1) Bad Slave Cyl
2) Bad Clutch Master Cyl
3) my firewall is developing the tell-tale small crack and this I spose
could allow enough flex to not let clutch fully disengage. However, the
new clutch is nice and light and doesn't seem to flex the firewall much at
all so I doubt this is the broblem.
Anyhow, I'm guessing it is the slave but wouln't mind a few extra
opinions on if these syptoms seem to coincide with a bad slave. Thanks
