Question for people who have done DOT to Euro light conversion on200-am I going to need a wiring harness?
I got the Bosch Euros for the V8 today and took a look at them get a sense
of how big an issue changing the stock DOT two piece lights to the one
piece Euro unit.
The stock lights have an open back with separate wiring for the corner
piece and the high and low bulbs. In contrast, the Euro lights have
enclosures with plugs for the H3 and H3 bulbs which then lead into one
single six-pin just off center exposed in the back. My question is whether
this is the same for lights people have been getting from Metrix or any
place else for that matter and whether I need a specific wiring harness or
people have been getting a plug and fabricating something. If I need a
harness, any suggestions on where to get it.
Additionally, what do the Europeans do about daytime running lights with
these units if anything?
Your suggestions would be much appreciated.
