Re: Transmission Fluid Changing

I've heard different opinions about changing transmission fluid.  One friend
who is very knowledgeable about cars told me that it is better not to change
the fluid because things just get stirred up in the transmission (that was in
reference to my old 78 Volvo, though).  But then I've heard that you need to
change the fluid to prolong the life of the transmission, synchros, etc.  I
have an older Audi, an 85 Coupe, and was wondering what opinions are on this
subject.
