'91 200Q coil high tension lead.

I just noticed that the black rubberized insulation/coating on the coil
high tension lead of my car (3B engine) has chipped off from the top of the
push-in connector at the coil on the firewall. This is the first I've
noticed anything unusual there. It's possible, I suppose, that it melted
from heat, though the pinkish colored hard plastic part of the connector
(which shows underneath) doesn't look burned. The engine runs fine, and
there are no obvious indications of a problem, except for what was exposed
by visual inspection. But methinks I should replace the high tension lead
asap.

Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase this lead without buying the
whole, hideously expensive plug wire set? The other wires are fine.
Insights on this are appreciated. TIA.
