I can confirm that the 91 200q sedan has a plastic spare tire well that looks too shallow to hold a 15x7.5 rim under the supplied wood cover. And I would have to move an amp anyway, but that's why I carry that particular screwdriver in the car at all times.
Is it being implied that the type 44 avant has a different spare tire storage area than the sedan? I had a 5k avant loaner once, but forgot to check the spare.
Ob Audi Gloat: while heading up to the ski hill today, I felt the front Hakka-1s pushing a little in a 30mph 90deg corner. Watched in my mirrors as the street-tired pickup behind tried to take it at the same speed, got all kinds of sideways, would have been off the road and stuck good if it weren't for the paved apron under the snow in that particular spot. A mile up the road was a fullsize dorF 180'd into the ditch. Meanwhile, I went around about 15 cars afraid to pass a couple of slow vans (at my favorite uphill "rally turn"), and was applying my lift ticket by the time they got to the parking lot. Snowed heavily all day, but lifts closed (due to high winds) two hours early.
