Seems like no one has answered yet (I'm on digest so excuse if that's
already the case).
The poster of this was in Europe, wasn't he? The Series 44 Audi has always
been 100 "back home" (Europe/Sweden). The US followed the same scheme and
changed from 5000 to 100/200 for the 1989 model (and with that followed some
upgrades/modifications that other people who owned both 5000 and 100/200
knows much more about). That's why you see a lot of "5KTQ" etc in postings
from the US.
I'd call Audi in your home country and simply ask them. You have the chassi
number so it should be an easy task.
