Yet another way ... when I did my 5KT, I glued pieces of string to the pivot ends of the flaps and threaded them through the appropriate holes.  Then I lowered one half on to the other, and maneuvered the flaps into place with the strings. It was a simple matter to cut the epoxy off when I was done.
