STRUTS AND STRUT MOUNTS ON 1991 AUDI 100

Hey guys.  I have been noticing problems with my front end....so I brought it
down to Midas today to have it checked out.  The mechanic told me I had worn
Struts and Strut Mounts...The total cost is about $450 including tax...I am
looking to save money, so I may have my brother do the job.... Has anyone ever
done this before to their car and may be able to give me some info on it?
Also how long would the job take?  Is there anyone who can give me a step by
step instruction on how to do this ( a basic, not detailed)?
