Re: thumping in rear end of UrQ

I had the rear hanger go on my '83, and could see where the exhaust had been
rubbing on the inner CV joint where it passes over the rear axle.

I thought that this had solved my problem with strange noises like wooden
balls knocking together (carpet bowls Phil) coming from the rear,
particularly when getting under way in the morning. Dissapated as the car
warmed up. The weird thing is that it seems to have gone away this winter??
I have been thinking prop-shaft bearing or CV joint, but cannot see anything
obviously wrong.
