This engine has a history as long and proud as the I5.  I think it was
originally developed for fork-lift trucks.  I used to work on the
performance versions quite a lot in my 'first' mechanical career - the
'second' being entirely devoted to I5s.

It's funny how different they are.  I've never once had to grind a
valve seat on an I5 ...

Cooling is often a problem.  Take a look inside the 600bhp Audis - those
pipes running down the side of the car just inside the sills get _AWFUL_
warm.
