I did this on my old 4KQ to diagniose a bad wheel bearing. I replaced

the CV and still had noise so I removed both front half shafts and took

her for a drive. The wheel bearing niose still showed up going around

corners and since no CVs were there I determine it must be the wheel

bearing.

Won't moving the car without the stub axle from the front driveshafts ruin the
wheel bearings?  I thought they need the support.
