I've had a '98 A4 Avant quattro 2.8 automatic  for six months and
with the exception of the color of the dashboard I'm completely
satisfied with performance, amenities, and the dealership.
Plenty of power, handles like you're driving on a train track,
and does all or more than I could ask of it.  The bit about the
color of the dashboard refers to its somewhat light color that
reflects light onto the windshield that slightly reduces
visibility.  If I had to do it over again it would be very dark
or black.  If you want to see what the quattro does, put the
wheel full over, hold it there and floor it.  The car stays in a
circle!

In the past I've had a few Mercedes and from all aspects the Audi
is better!.
