95 vs. 96 A6



Stuart,
I would say it's more dependent on which car looks like it has been treated
better, is in better shape mechanically, has better service records, ect.
If it's a wash, I would go with the 95.  It's cheaper and it's lived an
easier life as in covered less miles per year.  Of course, with Audis this
is really not a prime consideration.  I don't think their is any major
difference between the two cars. My wife and I picked up a 95 A6 with 37k on
it and it's great.  I like it much better than any newer Japanese car I've
ridden in.  In short, I don't think your friend will be able to tell any
difference between the years with regard to service life or anything else.
