These are race engines, not street engines. They make 296hp but it's
all at some stratospheric RPMs. Ignoring the fact that these engines
have some pretty exotic and expensive bits in it that makes it not
feasible for production, you'll not going to like the way it drives on
the street...
As to a "variant" of that engine for street use? Well that variant is
the standard and venerable corporate VW/Audi 4-cylinder :).
