I replaced one I broke the threaded end off of on (!) on the '85(which
is the same set up - I broke it changing a ball joint), it seemed pretty
easy at the time.  I think.  I just twisted and pushed'n'pulled and it
popped in.  With the car in the air, let's see, I did it up here so just
one wheel was lifted.  I may have had to let the car partially down to
seat it.  Hmmm, it's either all coming back to me or I'm making this
up.  I got it mostly in with the wheel in the air, but had to lower the
car a bit to push it in far enough to get the nuts on, then set it all
the way down to get it to face the right way to finish tightening.
