Chris:
Are they rebuilt by Bosch or are they Chinese "knockoffs"? I just had
mine
rebuilt by Chelmsford Auto Electric (Tyngsboro, MA (978) 649-4448, ask
for Brian).
I gave them both the alternator and starter at noon on a Friday, and
they
were done by noon the next day. Both look brand new. The starter (their
p/n
S429) was $159, and the alternator (p/n. was A1254) was $189, with a one
year warranty. I opted for the rebuild, as opposed to the "repair" that
they also offer.
Not the cheapest solution, but they were fast, and I did get the
original parts
back, so reinstalling them was not an issue.
If there is enough interest in the future, perhaps we can negotiate a
list
discount?
