Re: Lubricant on spark plug wires
Samuel;
I use dielectric silicone grease on the inside of my spark plugs boots
to prevent the dreaded "I'll get this boot off if it kills me" syndrome -
and the skinned knuckles that usually go along with it. I've never had a
misfire problem from it and the spark plug boots always come off easily. If
the lubricant is not a dielectric grease it may form a conductive path down
the plug to ground and if it is not a silicone grease it may eventually
degrade the rubber boot.
