I have the same problem with my 200TQ retro lights (84 headlight
buckets with Hella H1/H4) I drive my relays from the original
headlight sockets with the power to the relays coming directly from the
jump start post. I have found it takes a load of around 20W on each
lowbeam headlight circuit to prevent 'tripping' the dead light
warning. I have not fixed this yet, I could use a couple of high watt
resistors.... would rather add something useful ( maybe two fans to
cool the 80W low beams :-) )
Perhaps another lister has an idea on how to use the 2 x 20W usefully.
