A6Q Avant - a committed deal?
Hi all,
I think I finally nailed the deal on "my" A6Q Avant down. I am going for
the silver one w/grey interior. It was a struggle between black & grey. My
heart wanted black, I've never had a black interior in any car, but my head
said, "Hello - what about black in the summer time? What about how black
carpet showing everything? What about longevity - I think black leather may
dry out faster than grey because of the sun." As much as I liked the dark
wood and the dark dash, I'm going for the grey.
I have a deal, complete with manager approval, on the price of the car.
Amazingly, it was the first offer I made to them and a full $200.00 less
than the first offer I made in Sacramento that was turned down. The more
time I spent on the car, the less I offered. Time is money.
They have yet to see my Previa, but I fully disclosed the door ding, the
cup holder that doesn't completely close, and the chip in my windshield. If
it is in the condition that I say it is, and it is, they will take my first
requested price for my Previa. Now we are processing the credit check via
fax, getting a written deal via fax, AND they are holding the car until
after our son's soccer game in Sacramento. It will be one long day, and
little time to drive the car.
We'll spend Saturday night w/my husband's mother in San Jose (whose father
passed on in Oct.), celebrate his baby brother's birthday (43 years old,
ouch!), then drive that A6 home on Sunday. It could be the shortest trip
we've ever made on a visit. :+)
Of course, if something comes up, like they don't stick with their
agreement to the letter, I'll pass the car on by. My Previa runs great.
Wish me luck!
Debra
