the "carpal tunnel" of the 85-87 4k wiring. With the new stalk my coupe
would drop out of cruise when turning off high beams. A thourough test
out revealed no current flowing through the "on" switch, partial
disassembly removing pressure from the area allowed current to flow!
And now it works really well, after cleaning the pedal switches
intensely too (their resistance dropped from a skittish 70-90 ohms to a
solid <0.5 ohms).
Someone tell me how pressure on a properly conducting wire can strangle
current flow before I become superstitious...
