Audifest '99, Montana?

>When you cross Montana state line, the first thing you see >is a huge sign
>with a speed limits which actually says:
>"speed limit - prudent and reasonable".
>I kinda liked that.

>From what I hear from family who live there, however,
"prudent and reasonable" is defined by the officer, and is pretty randomly
enforced. You can get a ticket for going 50, theoretically. There is
actually a movement afoot to adopt 70mph limits like neighboring Idaho so
people _know_ how fast they can drive. Little discussed in the excitement
over Montana's repeal of speedlimits, is that even prior, the penalty in
Montana for exceeding the speed limit was a ticket for wasting fuel. Fine?
$5.00. They've also become prickly, I'm told, about out-of-staters testing
out their wheels on Montana roads. They account for over half of highway
fatalities. (Although come to think of it, the same statistic probably
applies to the New Jersey Turnpike)

My vote for Audifest? Bi-Coastal, Pikes and Mt. Wash. I'll bet more than
2X people could attend each than would show up at either.
