My V8Q had the new rotor setup/front end done way before I bought
it, and am very happy with the "new" style setup.

I would urge you, and any other UFO equiped V8Q and 200 owners to
Bother the hell out of Audi to get them to fix your cars. Age and
mileage should not be taken into account for repairs that have to
be done because of bad engineering and design. I was thinking about
this all week, last week I gave my friend a ride to the Mercyless
Benz dealer (Foreign Motors West) for a recurring problem he was
having with his 1986 MB 300TD Wagon. The dealer replaced the ENTIRE
exhaust, trap converter (known problem on these cars), the exhaust
manifold and the Turbocharger...FREE, yes, FREE. This is a 13 year
old car with over 125K miles.

Audi could also learn a thing or two from Mercedes when it comes to
OEM parts, if an OEM Mercyless Benz part fails, Mercedes picks up
the tab on the Labor too, even if they didn't install it.

Audi won't even pick up the shipping for parts it doesn't stock....
they charged me $25 for "Red Label" shipping to get a V8Q part
over from Germany, the only alternative they offered was a
three month wait for the ship to arrive.

Audi didn't care about it's few loyal customers when it
really needed them in the recent past, now that they're
riding high and selling record volume, I fear their
attitude twords it's customers will get even worse...
if that's possible. Complain, the squeeky hinge usally
gets the oil.
