Re: Wierd 4kq CIS Fuel Problem
Ok,
Well Huw, this seems to be the problem. We tested all the
injectors and they seem to spray fuel out fine. BUt if we hook up the
hose from plate to throttle body then they wont squirt while trying to
start car. Wierd.
Again, car runs fine if we move the plate manually but Neither car
wants to start on its own. After flooding the motor the 84' started for a
second untill the fuel ran out and then it died.
And I dont thnk a Vauum leak is a problem beause on one of the
cars no hoses have been moved since it did run fine yesterday.
BTW, Metering plate is hard to pull up. I spose it is harder to
pull up the further you go as that is what the vauum in the motor is
having to do, more vauum pulls it up more and gives more fuel. This aspet
seems to be working right. Its a very wierd problem and both ars seem to
have it. No fuel at Idle only.
ANyone have any ideas.
