   Ok I think you've made fair enough points that indeed Audi does make
efforts to improve existing parts for older models. At the very least,
that issue is debatable.. since you've made the point that they have
improved parts and I think that they could do better. Maybe I'm just
griping because I had to buy another temperature sending unit.

   However, I don't think you can argue that there is dramatic need for
Audi to improve relations with owners of older Audis. My point to all
the rambling is that by improving customer relations, especially current
audi owner's satisfaction, they will increase their profits in the
future. It is always easier and cheaper to keep existing customers than
to go out and get new ones.
