Re: Audi of America, are you listening?

OK, I have a few things to say about this topic, too. :-)

I own three generations of Audis: an older 100Q, a slightly
newer 90Q, and an almost new A6QW.

When the 100Q was about 5 years old, I wrote to Audi about
lots of stupid problems with it. The dashboard veneer craked
and fell off. The mirrors fell out of the sun visors. Half
of my switches and lights didn't work. The gas pedal broke
in half; so did my shift knob. The heating blower squealed
so much I couldn't use it.

Their reply was: "these problems are normal for a car of
this advanced age". WTF?????

So I kissed it off as an older car, not too well taken care
of, showing it's age.

Now I have my new A6, and a week after I drive it off the
lot, I discover my transmission flare. I have contacted Audi
after getting NO satisfaction at all from my dealer (in fact,
I got NEGATIVE satisfaction). Their district rep finally came
out, drove the car with me, and talked about the problem.

He said he'd be back in touch with me soon. That was last
fall. Since then, AoA has called me THREE (count 'em: 3!)
times to ask if he has called me back. He hasn't. Each time,
the AoA rep swears he will be back to me within 24 hours.

Tick Tick Tick.

Oh, and by the way, the same dash lights and switches are
going in my new A6. Guess they STILL haven't fixed them....

This is what Osman talks about. They don't care. Customers
know they don't care. So why should they spend all that money
to buy something from someone that doesn't care?

Come on. Do you think Lexus or Mercedes, or even Subaru
makes dashboard lights, gas pedals, and switches that fail
like this? Never. Audi could have bought more goodwill than
they could imagine by fixing my stupid gas pedal and mirrors.
They chose to spend just as much time and money convincing
me they should have to.

I will likely never buy another Audi again.
