Re: FS: '93 S4 - Recommendation: Don't Buy!! (Long)
Jim,
That story is a doggone shame. How could anyone ever treat a great car with such
neglect and lack of respect. I noticed that lack of proper treatment and service
causes so many Audis to fail prematurely. Really, the service may be expensive up
front, but you can get so many more years of use out of one of these with the proper
service than you can out of other certain automobiles. Some folks just don't get it,
and that's a shame. It was probably a good idea that you passed on it. You could
have gotten a real problem. I almost bought a BMW M3 ('88) once. Price wasn't bad,
the condition was. Drove hard and put up wet, to say the least. Had less than 100k
on the clock, but drove and ran like it had 200k. D*mn shame. Broke my heart. Once I
priced out BMW M3 parts I'm glad that I didn't buy it. WHEW!!!! That stuff's
ridiculous. Anyway, better luck next time.
