Nick,
You want a smaller car, and one that matches the performance of the Corrado.
I am on my 6th Audi, and I even owned a Corrado G60 4 years ago for a short
while until I found a Coupe Quattro.  First off, stay away from the G60, the
supercharger is not a good design and fail early on and is VERY expensive to
replace.  The last issue of European Car verified that with their article on
the G60 design.

As for Audis that will out perform a Corrado, any turbo Audi (200, chipped A4,
S4) will be a real screamer.  They are all larger than the Corrado, so that
may not be what you are looking for.  Audi doesn't build cars for America that
are as small as the Corrado.  So, if you want a car that is good for speed,
handling, and very modifyalbe, go for an A4 turbo.  Other than that, you may
want to go for a GTI or a V6 Corrado.
