re: VW OR AUDI RACERS???

The Corrado is indeed a great car.  Most test drives of the SLC VR6
versions
called in the only true entry-level Porsche. I tend to agree. However....

There are three enthusiasts in my small town that have Corrado's.  All
three required extensive engine work (head problems)... one under
warranty, 2 not.  The 2 "nots" are shopping for new cars... and are not
considering VW's. They should have both bought Hondas in the
first place....

The other guy says that the car's performance is worth putting
up with some pain.  On the other hand, he loves my UrQ... which
we both think is much faster than his SLC... and is able to use
the power.  He's convinced he either needs a blower for his
Corrado or a UrQ... figuring either would cause him equal
pain in the long run.

So, while I think a Corrado is a great car, it is significantly
eclipsed in overall performance by slightly-warmed UrQ's
 (and IMO,  later coupe  quattro's).  Had VW offered it with AWD....?????
