Will VAG buy BMW?

Robert Eaton is saying a heavy merger (or buyout) will take place in
the next few months. VW, GM, Fiat and Toyota are likely
buyers-partners. (No Honda?? :))

Rover needs a developed frontdrive layout. BMW is rumored to be
looking for a partner to use drivetrains... VW was one of them.
Toyota, GM, and Fiat all have developed front drive programs. Look for
something to some of that-- that is if Rover is still alive.

The platforms these manufacturers would be supporting with Rover would
be a direct competitor! 

Things are getting interesting...
I'd die if Rover released a 1.8T powered MG quattro!
How about a Lambo powered Riley??
