Turbo or non-turbo has nothing to do with it.
What is important is the position of the breather system entry point
to the air inlet relative to the air mass sensor paddle. If the gases
from the breather system enter _before_ the air mass sensor, the engine
will always be insensitive to the oil filler cap test. If they enter
_after_ the air mass sensor, the engine should be sensitive.
The key test, which is honestly not a great deal of use diagnostically,
is: "Does an engine with breathers entering _after_ the air mass sensor
stumble when the oil cap is pulled?" If it does, it means that there
are so many leaks already that one more makes no difference.
