In an unofficial way, we have been sourcing parts outside the
dealership. Many of us regularly use vendors recommended on this list.
Those vendors usually have special arrangements for people on the
Q-list. Volume discounts have been arranged on special items, and in
some cases items have been fabricated just for the list.
As for impacting AoA... if they are too dense to not seize clear market
opportunities in front of them, what gives you the impression that they
would be impacted by a group of late-model owning audi owners? A company
shouldn't need to be "lobbied" in order for them to respond to us. It's
a great idea on the surface, but I would be most pessimistic to any
positive response from Audi. The fact that they fail to respond
publically on this list with a bare minimal message saying "We are sorry
for any complaints you have..yadda yadda.. here is our number/e-mail
address. Please contact us directly. We will try to resolve your
complaints..." is an embarassment.
