normal oil pressure gauge reading

The oil pressure gauge in my newly-acquired 100 reads 2 bar at idle and 
5 bar, the maximum reading, at anything above about 1500 rpm. Is this 
normal? The owner's manual doesn't give much detail about this gauge.

These readings are with the engine fully warmed up. I'm using Mobil 1 
15W50, Mann oil filter.
