What most people do when they over fill is pull out the drain plug, drain all
of the oil then put the right amount back in.  What I would do if I were you,
is just pull off the oil filter, let it drain into a bucket while you watch TV
for an hour, then put it back on, that should drain just the right amount for
you.  As for running wtih 7/10  of an extra quart of fluid....that may not be
too bad, you could just leave it in there.....but I wouldn't want to gamble
it.
